Some music is celebrated for its elegant subtlety; Pink's slams you over the head. Four albums in, she's not changing her formula. I'm Not Dead touches on bulimia ("Stupid Girls"), war-mongering politicians ("Dear Mr. President"), teen angst ("Conversations With My 13 Year Old Self," "Runaway"), overheated pickup artists ("U + Ur Hand"), and gross materialism ("I Got Money Now"). None of it, in other words, is for featherweight listeners. Then again, none of it suits eggheaded college tastemakers either. Where this translates, then, is with those willing to man up and embrace what makes Pink Pink: her spellbinding ability to render rebelliousness in all the many colors of the rainbow. Neil Young-inspired acoustic guitar is sketched into "The One That Got Away," but it's just as quickly scribbled over by Joan Jett-style ranting (on "Long Way to Happy") and Janis Joplin/Joss Stone-fueled howling (on "Who Knew"). Even R&B gets its turn ("I Got Money Now"). The album also includes appearances from the Indigo Girls, who duet on "Dear Mr. President," and Pink's father, who joins for the hidden track "I Have Seen The Rain." Pink pulls all of this off, and probably without even breathing hard. She's not dead. --Tammy La Gorce

Customer Rating: Summary: Go for it girl ! Comment: Like woah!, Just Woah! This girl is , like so , like, just rockin' an stuff. I just, like love the way she, is , like shouting on the front of the album, I like totally saw her being, like , really feisty and I thought that is sooo me, I'm like so there and stuff and then I just, like got my mom and said I wanna be cool like that, can I have some, like money to buy that Pink album and she punched me to the ground and snapped my spine with her foot.
Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic Album Comment: I have always been a huge fan of Pink but Im Not Dead is even better than I thought was possible. The album includes the massive hits 'Stupid Girls' which focuses on the role models young girls have today, 'U + Ur Hand, which Pink states she doesn't need a man to be happy and 'Leave me alone' where Pink says she doesn't want to be commited to anyone.
I love every song on this album, as everyone is different and unique. Although the CD says there is 15 songs, there is a song not listed on the back, its called 'I Have Seen The Rain' and it was written by Pink's dad when he was fighting in the Vietnam war, so there are 16 songs to enjoy, very moving and well worth a listen. Buy this album, you wont be disappointed.
Customer Rating: Summary: The more I listen, the more I love it. Comment: I'm impressed. I really am. Pink is turning into such an amazing artist and she has something to say - that's important, not fluffy, and relevant.
I wonder if she ever considered writing her songs as a form of therapy - particularly in Conversations with my 13 Year Old Self. It's just all too familiar even though our life paths will never cross.
She writes and sings from the heart, and while I bought the CD for the popular tracks on airplay, well, I'm just impressed with it on a whole. No filler here.
Customer Rating: Summary: Amazing!!!! Comment: This CD is music at its very best. There's a great mixture of uptempo songs and ballads - fortunately for P!nk she pulls off both very well!! The best songs on here are probably the incredibly witty "Stupid Girls", the fun, rocky "U + Ur Hand", the sing-a-alongy "Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely)", the ass-kicking "Cuz I Can", the beautiful "Runaway" and the two cracking bonus tracks "Centerfold" and "Fingers". BUY IT!!!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: Very good! Comment: Stupid Girls, Who Knew, Cuz I Can, Leave Me Alone (I'm Lonely) and U and Ur Hand rock my socks!
