Summary: not a stage show
Comment: This is as described - a documentary account of the making of the Cirque du Soleil LOVE show in Las Vegas. To expect a complete performance of the stage show would be asking too much. The show, like any other designed for the stage has to be seen..er...on the stage.
We've all heard criticism of the soundtrack album and about how the sacred work shouldn't be played around with - BUT don't forget, it's a soundtrack to a show, just as this film is a documentary about the way that the show came to life.
One thing that comes over in the film, as in the show, is the care in portraying the main players (ie the Beatles) as having a great collective sense of humour. Something easy to forget all these years later.
Having seen the show twice now, I feel that it would be impossible to capture effectively on film and that, for the money, this documentary is a great little taster, costing a fraction of the ticket price.
Only criticism I'd make of the whole enterprise is that it could, perhaps, have done with some input from Cynthia and Pattie as well as Yoko and Olivier.
I'd recommend it for what it is and, having enjoyed watching it, hope to see the show again when finances allow!

Comment: I was thinking this will be the complete show, but is not, is only a documentary that we all have seen before in our TV's.
¿Why not is included the complete show of Cirque du Soleil with the sountrack 5.1? you only will find extras about how is was done.

Comment: After seeing the show in Vegas last year and reading the adverts for this DVD in the music press, my hope was that this would be an accurate visual account of the stunning performance.
No such luck and most of this material has been available on the Fab Four website.Looks like it means another trip to Vegas.

Comment: I was very disappointed with this DVD. Not one Beatles song was played all the way through and only extracts from the Cirque du Soleil show were shown. I would have expected the complete Cirque du Soleil show to be included as a finale to this DVD. No such luck.
And did Sir Paul McCartney really have to swear on this documentary?
