Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: JAMES LAST AT THE ROYAL ALBERT HALL Comment: this is the latest of my JAMES LAST dvds and i didn;t think it would better the ones that i already have but i was wrong it;s absolutely brilliant. i noticed that the majority of the musicians and singers were the same as on some of my dvds that was recorded some years ago, surely this proves that they enjoy playing for this great band leader and it shows in the way that they throw themselves into the occasion.how the violinists can play so beautifully whilst dancing around is truely amazing.i sincerly hope that james can carry on for many more years yet, the music world would;ntbe the same without him. Its almost the entire show that was performed in the Albert Hall except for Hips Don't Lie, Now and Forever, Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye and You'll Be In My Heart. Hansi is the ultimate entertainer.Thank God for a person such as he. At 78 years of age this concert recording is so special.I look forward to seeing him on his next tour. Often mocked by others who consider James Last's music as background or "lift music" the fact is that his international musicians are amongst the best in the world, Last is one of the best arrangers in the world, they all love what they do and they produce time after time wonderful music for all occasions enjoyed by the silent majority all over the world. It is about time Mr Last received an honary Knighthood from the UK for the pleasure he has and continues to give to millions.
